1. n. [Well Completions]
The procedures and equipment used to measure and correlate depth to ensure that a treatment is applied at the correct position within the wellbore.
2. n. [Reservoir Characterization]
The practice of ensuring that all measurements taken in a borehole are matched to the "base depth," normally the depth determined with the resistivity log.
