slurry density

1. n. [Drilling Fluids]

The weight per unit volume of a cement slurry, usually given in units of kg/m3 or lbm/gal. Typical oil- or gas-well slurries have densities of 1380 kg/m3 to 2280 kg/m3 [11.5 lbm/gal to 19.0 lbm/gal], although special techniques, such as foamed cementing and particle-size distribution cementing, extend this range to 840 kg/m3 to 2760 kg/m3 [7 lbm/gal to 23 lbm/gal].
