A production logging method that uses a small propeller turned by fluid movement. The number of turns of the propeller can be related to the amount of fluid passing through the instrument. These devices are used to determine which of several zones contributes the most to the total production or, in the case of an injection well, which zone is receiving the most injected fluids.
